Colm is a lecturer at the University of Limerick, the principal of Sustainable Building Refurbishment Corp. and a founding director of the Building Physics Research Centre.  His work is focused on the practice of next generation refurbishment: a process that uses the latest technology to incorporate best practice sustainability into all aspects of the built environment.

Prior to taking up a position at the University of Limerick,   Colm was the Commercial Director of BRE Ireland, and a Group Leader at the Massachusetts Institute of Technologies’ - Lincoln Laboratory.

Colm, has presented at over twenty built environment conferences, published over twenty articles and holds sixteen patents.
