		Natural Light in Heritage Buildings; Carol Moreno This project analysed the different strategies that could be deployed to bring natural light into a heritage building. [read more]
		SURFACE WATER MODELLING; Declan J. Clancy This research involves the development of a method to represent buildings in a surface water flood model and to evaluate the impact of the buildings on local flooding. [read more]
		Dynamic Thermal Loading; Sean Tiernan The development of new insulation materials requires a significant amount of testing prior to implementing expensive certification testing. We have developed the capacity to test sections of building elements to assess the heat flux through the material. [read more]
		Solar Panel Testing; John Fogarty We have developed a rig to measure the performance of a test panel against a high performance standard rig. [read more]
		Preventing Ice Dams; Paul Larkin We have been working with a client to develop a solar ice melter to eliminate the problem. Our approach is the collecting solar radiation and conducting the heat to the drains using simple heat pipes. We have built and tested a prototype device. The performance of the device is such that the ice melter can easily reach twenty degrees while the air temperature is below freezing temperatures and there are scattered clouds in the sky. 		Thermal Bridging; Murt Redington This study involved the analysis of different finish details on the thermal bridges of materials.
		In Situ Thermal Tester; Philip Curley This study involved the analysis of non destructive methods to assess the thermal performance of a wall. [read more]
		*Thermal Performance of Buildings; Mark Hall* This project demonstrates a method of measuring actual energy performance of a building as opposed to the traditional building energy rating. The method proposed could be developed into a rapid low cost method. [read more]
		Testing Optical Components for Refurbishment Projects; Eoin McEvoy Building on our extensive ICT experiance we have developed a test for optical fiber components. [read more]
